Gwennie has had Sharkey, her betta fish, ever since her friend Mary Lynn moved a couple of years ago and bequeathed us her pet. Over the past month, Sharkey has been getting lethargic and unresponsive (even for a fish) and finally would spend his days floating, barely moving, at the bottom of the aquarium. Finally, Sharkey went the way of all perciformes.
Gwennie got an appropriate casket container and we buried Sharkey, after a short service, behind the shed next to Mason. May he never be forgotten or replaced.
