Frodo Baggins
Margaret: I’m Frodo Baggins, Mama! Don’t move the cart, Daddy!
Let’s find more trick or treaters!
M:
At Halloween-time, calls every skeleton she sees an “alien.”
T: If you want to drink your cocoa, you have to take your
coat off.
M: I can’t! Gwennie locked me up in it!
M: I can’t! Gwennie locked me up in it!
M: I won’t be cold if I’m naked. I won’t be cold . . . if
I’m wearing slippers!
M: I show Simon this little lego lollipop.
T: But we never put toys in a baby’s mouth. . . .
M: It a choking hazard!

doy
Margaret: Mama, you’re a good mama, and Daddy’s a good
daddy. But sometimes I call you a bad
mama, but sometimes I call you a good mama.
Jennifer: It makes me sad when you call me a bad mama.
M: [thinking for a moment] Well, it makes me sad when you tell me to go to my room to go to sleep.
Jennifer: It makes me sad when you call me a bad mama.
M: [thinking for a moment] Well, it makes me sad when you tell me to go to my room to go to sleep.
M: Why are you crying, Mama?
J: My eyes are just watering . . . I mean, because my children don’t let me sleep enough. What can you do to help, Greta?
M: I keep coming in rooms!

M: I keep coming in rooms!
M, playing with her hammer, sings “Workin’ in the Coal
Mine” while hitting rhythmically.
M starts saying words like “door” as “doy.”
M: Are Grandma and
Grandpa Sam coming to our house tomorrow?
J: No, sweetie – I’m sorry.
M: But they’re coming soon!
J: No, sweetie – I’m sorry.
M: But they’re coming soon!

dislocation
Casper: Sister Mouse is the bad one.
Todd: No, she’s not – neither mouse is bad.
C: Then why doesn’t she warn her brother about the corn field?
T: She does! She tries to talk him out of going there.
C: They why does she nearly dislocate his arm?
Todd: No, she’s not – neither mouse is bad.
C: Then why doesn’t she warn her brother about the corn field?
T: She does! She tries to talk him out of going there.
C: They why does she nearly dislocate his arm?
[This is in reference to my story about the two little mice who live in the meadow, whose mother warns them not to go into the cornfield because of the monsters -- snakes, cats, and birds of prey -- who live there. It's currently a favorite of Margaret's.]

little cats
Margaret: [after completing our park Mystery] I will share my
treasure with my Mama! I want to make my Mama happy.
M: Look! Little cats, eating the grass! [while pinching
my arm hair with finger and thumb, as in Millions
of Cats]
M: I found this one of the chair! Daddy left his chappie
when he went to work.
M: Can we play in the desert, where there are no
mosquitoes or fire ants?
J: You want to play in the desert?
M: I want to play in the sandbox!
J: You want to play in the desert?
M: I want to play in the sandbox!
