Because we were concerned about Granny and Grandad after their car accident, and because we all wanted to do something to help -- especially while they were sore and recovering -- Jen and the kids drove up to Dallas for the weekend. This trip itself was not without incident, as the van started overheating two thirds of the way up, and Jen had to stop at a dealership to get the radiator looked at. After a quick fix (replacing a hose), they were back on the road. It was a good weekend -- the kids were thrilled to see cousins and I hope the family was a little help. At the very least, the smile of that cute babe had to lift their spirits.
