gaps a'mighty

Our sweet little Gwendolyn went to the dentist this morning and got a frenulectomy. Her labial frenlum was quite low and very thick; our hope is now that when her permanent teeth come in (if they ever do), she won't have a big gap . . . or need braces. She was very brave, and the dentist reported that she was a model patient, but I'm afraid that her excitement about visiting the dentist is permanently gone. When she came home, she told Todd, "Daddy, now I know how you feel when you have to visit the dentist."

ouch--the poor gal--and to think i thought that simply getting those dangly snaggly front teeth of simon's to finally come out was painful enough! are hers loose at all?

Timothy may have to do that as well. We just have to wait for his permanent teeth to grow in too.

Eeks! Cameronn had his lingual frenulum (under the tongue clipped a couple of years ago (when R was in Iraq). It really didn't take long, nor was it that bad, and was good to do, but not fun still.

YOUCH!! BJ had that done when he was a kid too. Phoebe is definitely my gap-toothed kid, we will have to see what happens with her! At least she is smiling!
